To our little boy Max:

Today is your birthday, and you have been in our lives for three years now. We cannot imagine what it would be like without you. You have taught us how to truly love and the meaning of patience. Because of you, we strive to be better in every aspect possible. You are such an intelligent and precocious little boy. You delight us everyday with your heartwarming giggles and mischievous smiles. You are growing up so fast, and we happily look forward to your next milestones and accomplishments. We love you very much, Boo Boo.

Max’s accomplishments as of today:

+ Recognizes and can say all 26 letters, in lower & upper case
+ Recognizes and can count up to 20 in English
+ Can count to 10 in Hmong
+ Can count to 5 in Spanish (thanks Diego)
+ Can count to 5 in Chinese (thanks Ni Hao Kai Lan)
+ Knows these shapes: heart, triangle, circle, oval, square, moon
+ Knows these colors: red, pink, white, black, yellow, blue, green, gray, purple, orange
+ Knows these colors in Spanish: blue, red, green, yellow
+ Can imitate animal sounds & actions: cow, sheep, squirrel, elephant, monkey, chicken, duck, mouse, fish, snake, lobster, crab, tiger, lion, dinosaur, pig, dog, cat, bee, seal, dolphin
+ Speech & vocabulary has improved immensely from last summer. Speaks in 3 word sentences a lot, and has been making a big effort on speaking more.
