We celebrated our anniversary at La Belle Vie tonight. We both had their 5 course tasting menu. Everything you’ve read about this place is true. Service was exceptional, and the food was amazing. The sauces were rich & strong, but that was fine with us. Pretty much everything was cooked to perfection. Max behaved well. Poor kid wouldn’t nap earlier, so he was really tired throughout dinner. Thank goodness we brought his favorite books & toys to keep him occupied. Dinner was a little over 2 hours long. They also offered an 8 course dinner which would’ve lasted 3 hours probably. I would definitely go back here, but only for special occasions. The decor wasn’t a lot of fussy decorations, but a couple of nice abstract paintings here & there. Only fancy things were the big, opulent crystal chandeliers. Oh, and the crown molding was really elaborate.Anyway, would definitely go back for a special occasion. Have a good weekend everyone!

I agree, La Belle Vie has delicious food and great service. It’s been about three years since I’ve been there. Teng and I might go there for Valentine’s Day.

Sweet, you have a takoyaki pan? Did you order it online?
Tell me how it goes and take pictures. I looked on youTube for takoyaki and one ladies uses Dashi mixed in with the water? I dunno, I’m sure there are many ways to go about this.
Well, you know I think the best way to get octopus is to get the frozen kind an just let it thaw out. United Noodle has them, it’s with the frozen fish etc.
If we were in Japan, the local market would have fresh ones on hand =)

HEY MINNA, Yeah my hubby and I had a BABY. We got pregnant shortly after Sara’s shower!! I guess being there kicked it into gear for us. Babies are surely a BLESSING and I’m having a wonderful time with her right now.

Your little boy is getting big now too. I’m surprised that he’s so well behaved you guys can take him out to a nice restaurant like that. Are you guys thinking about having another one to join him soon?

Its such a small world. Your sister and her husband Perry, we used to live in the same apartment complex, and Perry is the one who got my husband his current job =D I didn’t realize that you sister was also at the shower until months later!
