Weekend Recap:
Saturday: Sara & her husband Sia, and their adorable baby, Cameron along with Debra & her little girl Sienna, who had the cutest little outfit on, and also Sandy & her little girl Tiffany came over on Saturday to hang out. We’ve been planning this get together since forever. We always had scheduling conflicts, so it’s nice to finally be able to find a day that worked for all of us. Sara wanted to learn how to make stuffed chicken wings, so I made that. I think I am done for the year with those stuffed wings. They are so yummy, but so time consuming. I swear, I think it took me about 3 hours just to make 12 wings. Thanks again for coming over gals, and bringing good food too. We had so much fun & lots of laughs, and hope we can do it again soon.
Later that night, my sister May & I went to our friend Amy’s annual Holiday party. I didn’t have time to make anything, so stopped by Kowalski’s & picked up a strawberry chocolate ganache torte. So good. Amy lives in the next town from us, so she & her husband might stop by for dinner sometime soon. They are such a cute couple, and expecting their first baby.
Sunday: We slept in, and ate a lunch of leftovers. Then Mike’s brother Adam came over to take Max sledding. Max was so excited & had lots of fun. Went downtown to return my bag, and wait for LV to call me when they get more bags. I also bought twelve ornaments for $40, but saved $80. Had dinner at Blue Sky Creamery.
Argh, your home looks so lovely. Cute baby pictures..
Funny about the 3 hours with 12 wings. I made them once too a long time ago and yes it was the whole deboning them that takes sooo long.
i give up on chicken wings. it took me an hour to debone 10 of them with a break in between. my family doesn’t care much for it. they prefer eggrolls.
Blue Sky’s ice cream is SOOO good! lol
Maybe you can teach me how to cook sometime, I’m horrible at it.
Grandma’s been having me do stuff, but I don’t know how. lol
Hey Minna,
Thanks for having us over. It was so much fun and I am still soooooo sorry for being late. I was waiting for Sandy’s e-mail reminder… ;) You will have to teach me how to de-bone them wings since we didn’t have time. Next time we get together again. Next time Trung Nam croissants for sure too. Max is so cute in that photo of the kids. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. We’ll have to get together again - hopefully next year won’t take as long to plan.
I totally agree with you on the stuff chicken wings. It takes for ever to make them and then why you eat, they are gone quick. I especially hate the deboning part! My hubby loves it so I have to make it once in a while.
Hope you and your family is doing great!
Hey Minna! Happy New Year! It was such a nice surprise to receive the Christmas card - thank you!
I saw someone who look just like Mike yesterday at Brookdale Ctr! I almost thought it was him. I thought if Mike is here, that means Minna & Max are close by so I searched the food court but didn’t see you guys. So, I figured it wasn’t him. :)
Yum! That fruit cup looks soooo good! Does Sara still blog at LJ? I’ll have to go look! Her babe is simply adorable!
wow, your tree and dining room look sooo nice! i just bought a similar floral wall hanging (the one by your tree) at Target yesterday. still trying to figure out where to put it. can’t believe what a boy Max is, now.
Minna…I love your xmas deco in your dining room…it’s exactly what I would do if I wasn’t so lazy to get the deco out. ;D
